Grueling poverty and deprivation stalks the backward communities of this country. The country’s progress has not yet caught up with the tribes living in the forests and mountains, economically and socially backward classes living in the plains and the coastal areas. The benefits of industrialization and globalization have benefited only a small percentage of our countrymen and women. The rest continue with their miserable existence.

Poverty and Christianity, deprivation and Islam are bedfellows. With huge funds at their disposal, Christian and Muslim organizations have made inroads among the deprived populations and exploited their poverty to ensnare them into embracing Christianity and Islam. This forebodes great danger for the very existence of our country. As has been seen, particularly  in the North East, Christian missionaries have, through economic inducements, managed to totally alter the religious demographic profile of these regions and have succeeded in sowing the seeds of separatism. Similarly, huge induction of Arabian petro dollars has given a fillip to the Islamic marauders in their bid to convert this lovely country of ours into a Dar Ul Islam. Many mini Pakistans have been created leading to serious repercussions on Hindu society.

Right since its inception, VHP has been in the thick of action to ameliorate the socio-economic-educational-health condit9ions of the teeming millions of the country’s tribal folk, the economically, educationally  and socially deprived classes . Hundreds of organizations across the country with over a 100,000 volunteers are actively engaged in this task..
