Deep Pooja has its roots in the hoary Tamil HIndu tradition of praying to Devi Parashakti seeking the Divine Mother's blessings for peace, good health,success and prosperity. . It is usually a community affair where ladies of an entire village come together, invoke the Mother goddess  into the jyoti radiated by the lamp and pray for all round welfare. This tradition dates back to the times of Lord Shri Rama and has continued uninterrupted since then..
 
Bharat is the world's lovelist and most fragrant garden, home to several cultures, traditions and  languages, bound together with one common bond.....the country's over five thousand year old Hindu heritage, culture, spirituality and traditions. A religion that is a way of life and that believes in the onenes of mankind, oneness of the world and that believes in respect and love not only for human beings but also for every belief and every creature in creation.
 
Thanks to the more than a millenia old siege by forces inimical to the very concept of everything that the Hindus stand for, this noble civilizartion is under threat like never before. And since independence when power passed on to the macaulayist-marxist-pseudo secularists, this threat to Hindu civilization has multiplied manifold. Today we stand on the brink of a huge chasm with the opportunistic hyenas in the form of missionaries and their semitic brethren, the jihadis,  waiting with salivating mouths to tear us apart, to gobble us up.
 
The Vishwa HIndu Parishad is striving to uphold this ancient country's  civilizational ethos and counter the forces out to destroy it. VHP is not just a pan India organization with presence in every single village in every single state of the country and is a truly reprsentavive organization of HIndus cutting across language, caste, class, colour, creed and sect, but has an effective presence all across the world wherever Hindus reside.
