SAP jawan, Maoists killed in encounter

PATNA: A SAP jawan and a few Maoists were killed in a fierce encounter between the police and naxals at Chaturpatti village under Paro police
station in Muzaffarpur district.

"The deceased jawan has been identified as Om Prakash Tiwary. Some Maoists were also killed in the encounter," said ADG (headquarters) Neelmani. The body of one Maoist has been recovered so far and the search for others continues, he added.

The entire area has been cordoned off and Muzaffarpur SP Sudhanshu Kumar is camping at the encounter site.
