The Latest on MF Hussain

Very recently, Husain is supposed to have accepted the offer of citizenship from the Arabic state of Qatar. He says he has done it because of a self-imposed exile from his home country of India. How this new citizenship will enable him to visit India is not comprehensible. He has gone in exile because of some legal cases against him, and it is his intention to avoid dealing with them personally. He, of course, says that he is being harassed by the cases.The cases relate to his paintings of Hindu gods and goddesses in nude and erotic position, which are alleged to have hurt the religious sentiments of those who filed the complaints. The latter have said that if he makes a sincere apology and commits that he will not undertake such an exercise in the future, they will not pursue the cases. Kerala is Kashmir of South India

Kozhikode: Describing Kerala as Kashmir of South India, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Secretary General Pravin Togadia today said God's own country has turned out to be a breeding ground for terror modules in the region. 

Speaking to reporters here, he said the terror elements operating in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka had established their link with Kerala if the recent developments were any indication.

VHP in Orissa observes Sacrifice Day, remembers Swamiji on death anniversary

Bhubaneswar: The Viswa Hindu Parishad on Thursday observed the Sacrifice Day and remembered Swami Laxmananda Saraswati on his first death anniversary. The first death anniversary of the Hindu Seer passed off peacefully across Orissa including at Jalespata Ashram, where the religious leader was gun down and Chakapada in tribal dominated southern districts of Kandhamal, where he was cremated.
